The community

Everything a quick trip from your back door

Sunterra is a roughly 2,300-acre master-planned community a few miles north of I-10 and west of the Grand Parkway (TX-99). One of the top-selling communities in Texas, it has room for about 7,000 homes, plus parks, playgrounds and trails woven through the neighborhoods.

Two amenity villages anchor resort-style living: the Sol Club, home to Sunterra's crystalline lagoon with white-sand beaches, and The Retreat, with a lazy river, water slide, resort pool, fitness center and yoga studio. When the water is right outside your fence, every day feels like a staycation.

  • Crystalline lagoon at the Sol Club
  • The Retreat: lazy river, pool, fitness & yoga
  • Parks, playgrounds and trails throughout
  • Community lakes with fountains
  • Minutes to I-10 and TX-99 (Grand Parkway)

Commute

Roughly 29 miles to downtown Houston

From Sunterra, I-10 (the Katy Freeway) runs straight into downtown, about 30 to 35 minutes with clear roads. The Grand Parkway (TX-99) links north, and the Westpark Tollway is a popular alternate for rush hour.

  • I-10 Katy Freeway

The main artery east to downtown; HOV lanes help carpoolers

  • TX-99 Grand Parkway

    North-south connector to Beltway 8, I-10 and I-69

  • Westpark Tollway

An alternate used by south Katy commuters, often faster during peak traffic

Drive times vary with traffic; allow extra time during weekday peaks (45 to 75 minutes eastbound in the morning).
